I got the new layout up much faster then I had expected. I'll be tweaking it some over the next few days, but this is just about what to expect.
New Direction?
I do believe that the blog will be going in a new direction over the next few days. I will go from only covering video game news to covering the latest in "teen news". By that I mean "How and what things happening in the world today effect teens" and "how teenagers perceive the thing happening in the world around us". My only fear is that this new direction will have my blog written off as just another teenager complaining that they don't have blah, blah, blah...
So how do I avoid exactly what I know is going to happen. I'm not really sure. But what I am going to do is blog. I'm going to share my world views, and hopefully I'm going to find someone who will want to read what I have to say about what is happening in the world today.
But more then just that, i want to make a guide for others on things like "How to Be Taken Seriously By Adults" and "How to Make Other People Respect Your Point Of View". I want to help society move forward into a world where no one is discriminated for things so petty as age.
PS:
Thanks for sticking around through all this to the three people who have subscribed to my RSS Feed. Hopefully you will continue to read my blog for years to come.

New Layout

Taking a Look and Making Changes
I started to forget that this is not just a gaming blog. After a burn-out of sorts where I couldn't come up with any good ideas to write about I decided to take a look at my blog and check if it was going in the direction I wanted. It wasn't. So I took a few days to decide where the blog would go from here. The day I started this blog I knew this was going to hard. I want to blog about the mind and life of a teenager in a way that everyone can read and understand. So expect the focus to shift some over the next few days. I'm still going to report about the world of video games, but I will be covering a much larger spectrum of topics.
Expect a completely new layout withing the next few hours.

Peggle and WOW: TOGETHER?
Peggle and WOW: TOGETHER?
There's a rumor floating around the good old interweb that PopCap games is working on an add-on for Nerd-Culture Phenomenon World of Warcraft. If this were to come into being it would allow for a quick vs. match between players to see who would gain exp, gain what items after a loot, and even just as a fun side game. So, are our icons just standing there vulnerable while in The Blade's Edge Mountians? Are you invinceible while you play? The smell of fail reaks in the air.

"Retro" Review - Resident Evil 4
I hate calling this a "retro" review. The game's not really all that old. 2005 was only four short years ago. But to be fair, we've come a long way as a video game community since this game first reached our Gamecubes in January 2005. This is not a spoiler free review. If you have not played the game this is not the review for you!
Story:
You play as Ex-Raccoon City Police Officer Leon Kennedy. The protagonist of Resident Evil 2 has returned to center stage as the series takes a break from the main story. Leon finds himself in an unnamed Spanish-European country searching for the President's recentaly kidnapped daughter Ashley. Leon arives in a small farming town, where he encounters the first of the games enemies. The Los Gandos are the villagers that have been infected by a parasite names Los Plagas. Leon eventually finds a shot gun, travels through a graveyard, fights a giant fish, and solves multiple puzzles all before finally finding Ashley for the first of a billion times. But before he does he meets a fellow "intruder" by the name of Luis Sera. Long story short, he resques Ashley a lot more, Luis dies, Ada betrays him, he kills The Villiage Chief, Salazar, Krauzer, and Saddler all before Ada blows the whole place up.
9/10
Graphics:
This is where the game really shines. Despite some random glitches like maces coming through doors before they even open, or how dark areas tend to lose all blending of color, these are still some of the most impressive graphics on any GameCube game. Not much else can be said.
10/10
Gameplay:
I love the game's change from overhead, prerendered environments, and bad camera angles to the over the shoulder view and beautiful 3D environments. Leon controls smoothly however I found that Ashley can be a little stiff to move. But here's the bad, the A.I. is crap. There is no nice way to put it, this game has some of the worst A.I. I have ever seen in my life. I shot a guy six times before he even turned around to see what was shooting at him.
6/10
Overveiw:
Resident Evil 4 is one of the best games in the GameCube's line up, and all the ports arn't too bad either. All said and done, this is one worth adding to everyone's collection.
8.5/10

Well... I Wouldn't Call it "News"
How would one explain The Melancholy Of Haruhi Suzumiya to a non-anime fan? Well... you wouldn't, but how would you explain it to a Video Game fan looking at the Japanese trailer going "WTF is this crap?" I don't know... maybe you might be able to figure it out yourselves...

The Gods Have Smiled Upon... Japan... Again...
Sony has now made me want to kill myself over not being born Japanese. Final Fantasy VII International Edition has been released for the PS3 and PSP in Japan. It costs 1500 yen ($15) compared to the usual price of 600 yen ($6) for other PS1 games on the service. Release in America... doubtful.

Time to "Punch Out" the Makers of Punch Out Wii
Who Okayed this? $90 US for an "Autographed" Little Mac Boxing glove? This might be okay if it came bundled with a copy of the game, but no. It is a stand alone $90 PUKE GREEN boxing glove. It's not even the right shade of green! This is the right shade of green.
Not what you see in the top picture. Please tell me this is just a bad joke. On the other hand, Batman: Arkham Asylum Special Edition will come with friggin BAT-A-RANG!

Top Ten Video Games of All Time
Resident Evil 4 makes the list by default simply for one reason, Ashley calls you a pervert if you look up at her when she is on a ledge above you. The first time it happened I was not sure why she had said that, but it happened again later and then it hit me, she thinks I'm trying to Up-Skirt her! At that point I sat my GameCube controller down and started laughing. But obviously, there are many other reasons this game made the list. The game is so well presented that it makes playing it over and over again a true joy. Amazing graphics, huge improvements that saved a dying franchise, and the thrill you get when you blow the head off one of the Los Gandos, make this one of the most memorable games in the series.
One of the most difficult games on the NES was also one of the best. It was one of the first games to have multiple playing styles in the same game. The characters had some of the most disgusting names I've ever seen in a video game. Luckily, the game didn't take it's self too seriously, which was a nice change, because most of the games form the time tried extremely hard to be serious and usually failed. One of my favorite games of all time.
While all the other Pokemon Games up to this point where very fun games, I feel Crystal Version was the first to truly hit the nail squarely on the head. The last Pokemon game for the GameBoy Color, it was the first of the series to take full advantage of the pocket-sized system's full potential. It's one of the most underrated games in the series, but it's still the best in my opinion.
One of my all time favorite games, is a game that starts off by lying to you! Tetris Attack has nothing to do with Tetris! It's closer to Bejeweled then anything else. Its great use of Yoshi's Island characters makes it a fun and cute puzzle game that is easy to play but impossible to master. I still play this baby to this day.
I'm only going to put one game from every series here so I knew the hardest thing to do would be to pick a Mario game, but then I realized that there was no real competition here. Just say the words Super Mario Bros Three and anyone alive in the ninety's will smile, even Jack Thomson.
Enough Said.
An often over looked PS1 Classic, you play the only character in video game history that makes "Conkers Bad Fur Day" Look like a kids game. Just make sure to sit back and enjoy the in game radio!
Speak of the devil, it's the game that introduced us to such classics as "The Singing Poo". Conker's Bad Fur Day is one of the most adult games in video games history, and it's damn good at it too. If you've never played this classic, DO IT NOW!
The only game that let's you answer "What if Mario fought Solid Snake?" Makes the list for just that, IT LETS YOU ANSWER SO MANY WHAT IFS! Plus it's darn good fun doing it!
There was no doubt in my mind when I started this list what game was number one. It was just a matter of filling out the rest of the list. But ladies and gentlemen...
